Obituary.
Died March 5th, 1896, beloved wife of Chauncey Ellis, aged 22 years, of dropsy. Three small children are left to mourn their great loss. The funeral services were held at the home of her mother, Mrs. Robt. Hastings. The Rev. McBride officiated. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends of the family to follow the mortal remains to the cemetery.
Let fall the sympathetic tear
With those who weep,
That one whom tender hearts hold dear
Lies in her last long sleep.
Mr. Armstrong and wife and Geo. Hastings arrived Saturday evening from the camps of Alger, Smith & Co., not knowing their beloved sister was dead.
Mrs. Teeple presented Fred with a baby boy on the 6th and therefore could not attend the funeral of her dear sister.
