Marriage of Jeff L. Watters and Jessie Conklin on 10/18/1885 in Flint.
Two Souls Made Happy.
Jeff Watters went below last Saturday morning on a business trip. He brought up at Flint, where an "attraction" has been located that has caused his attention for some considerable time past. Saturday he made a direct line Flintward to capture the prize, and we believe succeeded admirably in the attempt. That is to say, on Sunday evening, at the residence of Mrs. Thomas Foster, in the city of Flint, Jeff (or Mr. J. L. Watters) and Miss Jessie Conklin, all of Harrisville, were united in marriage, an event which numerous of our young people were satisfied would soon happen. The Review rises up to extend hearty congratulations to the newly wedded pair, wishing them a happy and prosperous life.
O, set the bells a ringing
And fire off the guns.
Blow your trumpets inside out
And bang the biggest drums.
And if any one should ask you
The cause of all the fun,
Tell them Jeff and Jessie's married,
And the great transaction's done.
