Death of Orville S. Cade.
PRIVATE ORVILLE S. CADE DIES AT CAMP CUSTER

Private Orville S. Cade died Sunday, October 20, at Camp Custer from pneumonia following Spanish influenza.
The remains arrived in Harrisville Wednesday morning in charge of Corporal Ralph L. Blake, and were taken to the home of the dead soldier’s mother, Mrs. Walter Slater of Haynes.
Private Cade was 30 years of age and was born near Barton City. He went to Camp Custer July 22 and had been ill about two weeks; during a portion of that time his wife and his mother were at the camp and were with him when he died.
Besides the relatives mentioned he leaves a sister, Mrs. Peter Fettes of Haynes, and a brother, Arthur Cade in the West.
Funeral services will be held at Mt. Joy cemetery today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. C. M. Boyce assisted by members of the Odd Fellow Lodge of Haynes. Under orders from the state board of health the burial will be private and services will be held in the open.
