George Craven, pioneer resident of Alcona County passed away in Wayne, Michigan, October 2, following a long illness.
Mr. Craven had made his home in Hawes Township for about thirty years before moving to Plymouth, Michigan about eight years ago.
George Craven was born in Saginaw County, September 24, 1865. He is survived by three brothers and one sister: William of Knife River, Minn., Frank of Detroit, Edwin of Whittier, Calif. and Mrs. Naomi Sullivan of Haynes.
The body was brought to Harrisville Thursday morning, following services in Detroit. Interment was made in the Springport Cemetery, Rev. Horace James of the Harrisville Methodist Church, officiating.
